According to a tabloid the couple who got married in 2006 are having trouble ever since Lavigne started her global tour in the beginning of this year, many times leaving the pair thousands of miles separated. An informant states to the magazine Lavigne and Whibley "they've been growing away from one another for months," contributing, "Deryck Is not motivated in his own career, therefore he's been boozing and partying." Rumors of their break up were fueled as Whibley was reportedly caught at an event at a City of the Angels nightspot "huddled together at a single table" and holding the hand of an unidentified adult female.
