Tinseltown knockout Angelina Jolie has been eyed for a role to play Catwoman in the next 'Batman' movie. Julie Newmar was the actress who originally made the role famous. Newmar, 74, clawed her way across the television screen, acting as the cat scoundrel in the 1960s 'Batman' TV series. Julie would like to see Jolie take on the part, if managing director Christopher Nolan determines to raise up the character in the next sequel. Newmar tells the New York Daily News, "Angelina would possess the part. My industry supporters state that she has made inquiries about the part. Catwoman is Batman's one true love.
After Newmar, the Catwoman character has been performed by Eartha Kitt, Lee Meriwether, Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer.
