Uma Thurman is to wed her longterm beau Arpad Busson. The actress has been going out with the Swiss entrepreneur as of last summer and their love affair has bloomed, in spite of living an ocean apart - Thurman is living in New York, although Busson resides in London. But the pair have now determined to take their relationship to the following degree after Thurman consented to Busson's proposal of marriage, reports a celebrity website. The actress' spokesperson, Stephen Huvane, says: "I affirm she is engaged." Thurman was given an eight-plus carat diamond ring, with the large center stone bordered by 20 littler gems. And the sparkler has been granted the seal of approval by a buddy of the star. The informant tells the New York Daily News: "It's the most fine-looking piece I've ever seen." A particular date for the marriage ceremony has yet to be set. It will be Thurman's third marriage - she split up from her first husband Gary Oldman in 1992 after two years of matrimony, and married Ethan Hawke in 1998, before splitting up in 2004. She has two children with Hawke; Maya, nine, and six-year-old Levon. Multi-millionaire Busson has two kids with his ex-wife, fashion model Elle Macpherson. They separated ways in 2005.
