The material girl's attorney has stated that she will protest against a court's finding that she's not eligible to acquire a 3 year old orphan girl, Chifundo "Mercy" James, since she has not resided in Malawi. Madonna 1st sighted Mercy during a 2006 trip to an orphanage where she discovered David. At that time, different from now, she was capable of leaving the country with the child and the adoption was accomplished last year.
