Johnny Depp to play mobster

According to ArizonaCentral.com Johnny Depp will film a merciless mobster in this original movie. The actor will depict the famous bank robber John Dillinger, who is on the get away from the FBI, in “Public Enemies.“ Depp reportedly signed on for the role in this movie just hours before the Hollywood premiere of “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” An insider said, everyone was pleased to get Johnny to do the part of this mobster. He has good charisma but has proved before that he can make an intimidating, menacing presence when needed. "Public Enemies" is established during the crime rise of the early depression era of the 1930s, when FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover was chasing a host of notorious criminals, including Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd, and Baby Face Nelson. Dillinger was a near-mythical mobster at that time. Some reports stated that Hoover kept Dillinger's private part of his body preserved in a jar after his death at the hands of the FBI in 1934.
