Tatum O'Neal was arrested on the streets of New York for buying crack cocaine. She was caught by a narcotics team trading money with a man three blocks from her home. Initially she told the police she was doing research for a part in a film but when searched and two bags of drugs were found and a crack pipe she changed her story. She begged the police to let her go but the police proceeded with the arrest. She was charged with a misdemeanor of criminal possession of a controlled substance in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday morning.
